Darts fans in the Hucknall and Bulwell area are to be treated to world-class action on their doorstep.
For the 2014 Premier League is to visit the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on Thursday 13th March -- and tickets are on sale now.
Despite the decline of the Hucknall Men’s League, the popularity of darts has rarely been higher, as proved by the extensive TV coverage of the two world championships in recent weeks.
The Premier League is the sport’s biggest roadshow, travelling to venues across the country between February and May, and is now in its tenth year. Each round is televised live by Sky Sports.
The line-up this year includes the legendary Phil Taylor, who has landed the title six times, plus Michael van Gerwen, who won the crown at his first attempt in 2013.
Peter Wright and Dave Chisnall will make their debuts in the league this time round, with the remaining six players being Simon Whitlock, Adrian Lewis, Wes Newton, Robert Thornton, Raymond van Barneveld and Gary Anderson.
“This is a fantastic line-up,” declared Barry Hearn, chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation. “The Premier League has always guaranteed excitement, shocks and world-class darts -- and this line-up is sure to provide that by the bucketload.”
The action starts at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Thursday 6th February. Tickets start from £22.40.
