LINBY Colliery Welfare Reserves hosted Ruddington Reserves in the Notts Senior League Division Two but were soundly beaten 4-1.

Playing in a new kit presented to the club by Ross Cheeseman of Luro Electrical Solutions, Linby were well beaten by a very useful Ruddington team.

Two goals each from Sam Dunstan and Jordan Richardson did the damage, and it would have been more but for some outstanding saves by keeper Glenn Guyatt who also saved a second-half penalty.

Cheeseman netted Linby’s late consolation goal.

LINBY LINE-UP: Guyatt, Peel, Prewett, Ball, Dickens (J Scott 78), J Bernard, Endy, Mee (Armitage 70), Hannigan (Scott 45), Duffin, Cheeseman.
