A thrilling finish in the Gunn & Moore South Notts League Division C saw one ball to be bowled and three different results still attainable as Beeston & Toton Sycamore (113-9) came out winners against Southwell (112-7) in a superb match.

In Division E the game at Nuncargate between Kirkby Portland & Fiskerton saw no play due to the weather conditions.

Y. Khan’s spell of 5-32 proved decisive in Division G as Ruddington (122-6) gained the win over Southwell, for whom Nathan Burton (48 and 24) performed very well indeed.

Ravenshead’s (82-5) early season form continued as they again managed a victory, this time over Bottesford (80-9) as both side struggled with the bat.

A gritty unbeaten 44 from Connor Fleming, along with 5-12 from Lewis Radford ,saw Kirkby Portland to a tied game in Division L against Ellerslie, for whom Carter Benson scored 38 not out.

In Division A Collingham (198) came so close to defeating Hucknall 132-9 in a thrilling match at Dale Field.

Ali Haynes 81 was the mainstay of the home side’s innings as Harry Finch and Sohail Ahmed took three wickets apiece,.

In reply Hucknall were ripped apart and at 78-9 the game looked all over, but a gutsy 33 not out from Tim Buckthorpe enabled them to hold out for the draw as David Pipes (3-22), Chad Batty (3-45) and Ali Haynes (3-25) strove to take the final wicket.

Ellerslie (72-2) made it two wins on the trot with a comfortable eight wicket win over Long Eaton (71) as Suman Shrestha (31 not out and 4-5) along with Sunil Shrestha (4-17) put the home side to the sword.

Belvoir (149) had Greg Oldfield scoring 42 in what seemed a modest total as Luke Endley took 6-40 for Balderton, who then collapsed to 97 all out.

A win from the penultimate ball saw Gedling Colliery (123-9) victorious over Notts Unity Casuals (122) by one wicket with man of the match Rhys Hayes (38 not out and) 5-35 taking centre stage.
