LONG-serving Hucknall Warriors star Regan Scott has notched up an impressive milestone — 300 appearances for the progressive Hucknall-based junior football club.
Scott started playing for the outfit a decade ago and has also notched up an incredible 206 goals in his career — from a position as a left-footed midfielder.
The teenager completed his triple century during a game in which he was named man-of-the-match.
What’s more, he and his under-17s teammates also leapt to the top of the table in the Notts Youth League and extended a five-match unbeaten run in league and cup.
Manager of the under-17s and club chairman, Paul Burley, said: “Regan has been an influential player throughout his ten years in the team but is now playing some of his best football of late and is a menacing and busy player for us in midfield.
“In youth football, loyalty can be a rare thing but we are blessed to have a number players in this team who have been here for many years and Regan is one of them.”
Only last month, the Dispatch reported on Liam Burley having made 300 consecutive appearances for the Warriors.
To mark Scott’s achievement, the Wolverhampton Wanderers fan was presented with a framed letter of congratulations from the Championship club by Paul Burley, as our photo shows.
