A FIXTURE backlog is looming for Hucknall Town after their Evo-Stik League Cup quarter-final at Bradford Park Avenue was called off last Saturday (February 26).
A waterlogged pitch at the Horsfall Stadium meant that The Yellows missed out on a chance to march into the semi-finals of the competition — and boost their confidence ahead of a relegation scrap in the Evo-Stik Premier League.
Town now face an exhausting schedule of three games in five days brought about by a series of postponements.
The clash with Bradford has been rearranged for Monday March 7 (kick-off 7.45 pm).
It is sandwiched between two crunch games in the league where The Yellows are struggling near the foot of the table and without a win in 2011.
On Saturday (March 5), Town travel to North Ferriby United.
Then, on Wednesday March 9, Town welcome Buxton to Watnall Road (kick-off 7.45 pm). That game is a rescheduled clash after the original was abandoned in January after 63 minutes when the Watnall Road floodlights failed.
The Yellows are next in action on Tuesday night (March 1) in the quarter-finals of the Notts Senior Cup when Greenwood Meadows visit Watnall Road.
