It was all about debutants and personal-best (PB) times when the youngest swimmers from HUCKNALL FALCON contested a Notts ASA Stake One Trophy gala at the Lammas pool in Sutton.

Five swimmers from the club’s development squad, Ava Garlick, Junior Gangtra, William Burke, Lottie O’Reilly and Madison Page, all participated in their first gala.

And they were among an impressive roll-call of swimmers who clocked PBs as Falcon finished fifth in the six-team event that also included clubs from Newark, Bramcote, Sutton, Northern and Kimberley.

Commented development coach Tracey Lidgett: “Fifth place was a respectable effort. We gained 22 PBs from 32 individual swims. A big thankyou must go to George Webster and Evie Allsop for their support.”

The other best-times were recorded by: Mya Orton, Dylan Walker, Hettie Chambers, Dylan Hopkinson, Caelen Halmshaw, Tilly-Mae Oldnall, Rhianna Wright, Abigail Davies, Rebecca Savage, Holly Bramwell-Ward, Finley Ellis and Harry Hands.
