NO wonder HUCKNALL HARRIER UNDER-11S are going wild with delight.

For they have just sealed back-to-back promotions in the Young Elizabethan League’s Sunday Section.

Last season, they were crowned Fourth Division champions. Now they are Third Division runners-up after a 4-1 victory over cup winners and closest rivals, Wollaton Hall Green, in their final match.

Liam Cartledge was the hero with a hat-trick, while Nathan Gascoigne was also on target.

Harrier have been beaten only twice all season — and that was against the champions, Radcliffe Olympic.

Said a team spokesman: “This is a really good achievement in our first season at 11-a-side. Our success has been all about teamwork, which is the most important part of football.”
