By an amazing coincidence, the top four teams in the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE all share exactly the same leg-difference records after the first two months of the season.

Legs won 21, legs lost 19 is the tally for Conny, Central Club, Empire and Shamrock, who make up almost half of the league table.

However, Conny have two more points than the other three and shot to the top after victory in the round of matches staged between Christmas and the New Year. They defeated Central 3-2 in a thrilling clash between two of the title favourites.

Shamrock also celebrated a festive success by returning from a tricky trip to Bentinck Club with an excellent 4-1 win.

However, Empire missed the chance to grab first spot when suffering a 3-2 reverse away to Royal British Legion, who duly climbed to fifth in the table.

The week’s remaining two fixtures, between George Street and Sherwood Ranger and Station PH and Bestwood Village Social Club, were postponed.
