The top two teams in the HUCKNALL WINTER DOMINOES LEAGUE table are beginning to forge clear of the pack after the latest set of matches.

Shamrock underlined their rich vein of form by whitewashing Central Club 5-0, while George Street were almost as convincing in a 4-1 spree at home to Bentinck Club.

The pair are now four points clear with six games to play in the race for the title, won last winter by Bestwood Village Social Club.

Bestwood have no chance of a repeat after a 3-2 defeat away to improving Royal British Legion left them in the bottom three.

The only sides below them are Sherwood Ranger, who were spanked 5-0 by third-placed Empire, and rock-bottom Station PH, who crashed 4-1 at Conny for their 11th reverse in 12 fixtures.
