A steady 10-mile circular walk from Taddington in the White Peak will be the latest Sutton-in-Ashfield Rambling Club outing on Sunday.
The fortnightly summer programme continues with a route that will encompass four limestone dales and a number of attractive views.
From Taddington, the route heads west to Sough Top and on into the Wye Valley, via the Pennine Bridleway.
After a break, the walk follows the river into Chee Dale - with the majestic Chee Tor towering above.
Beyond the dale, the group head north to Wormhill village for another break and more good views.
The next section takes in the wild unspoilt Monks Dale dropping down to Millers Dale for the main stop, with welcome refreshment available at the Anglers’ Rest pub.
The last point of interest will be a steady climb up to the Millers Dale Nature Reserve, returning back to Taddington for a 6pm coach departure home.
The coach leaves the Staff Of Life pub in Sutton at 9.15am and the Bancroft Lane end of Stockwell Gate (near the Asda supermarket) in Mansfield at 9.30am. There are other pick up points between these locations.
The coach fare is £9 with accompanied juniors free and there is no need to pre-book your seat on the coach.
The club is always pleased to welcome new members to the club with a day of healthy exercise, attractive scenery and friendly company.
