The line-up for the new season at Mansfield Palace Theatre has been announced - and it includes shows featuring some big showbiz names.

Suggs, Sooty and Strictly Come Dancing stars Pasha and Katya are all coming to town, as is the usual selection of fantastic musical evenings, children’s shows and drama and dance productions.

Madness frontman Suggs brings his hilarious but moving life story to the stage on 8th April. He will speak about his personal quest to find out more about the father he never knew and will also recall the days of his early music career.

CITV favourite Sooty brings his new show to the Palace on 11th April, for what is bound to be a favourite with kids, parents and grandparents alike, while TV gardener Monty Don will tell the tales of his travels to gardens around the world - and the secrets of his own impressive garden - when he appears on 27th April.

Comedy ventriloquist Steve Hewlett, who was discovered on Britain’s Got Talent, has a show for all the family on 15th May. He will be accompanied by illusionist Richard Griffin.

The Chuckle Brothers and a live stage version of Bananas in Pyjamas will pop in to perform on 18th and 28th May respectively, before The Lady Boys of Bangkok bring their sizzling and seductive production to the Palace on 2nd June.

Strictly stars Pasha and Katya and their dancers will bring a spectacular Latin and Ballroom show to Mansfield on 13th June.

Musical highlights in this new season include performances by The Drifters on 23rd May and The Searchers on 12th June, while there are also tributes to Elvis, Abba, AC/DC, Eagles and Bon Jovi.

The season’s drama offering includes 51 Shades of Maggie, Kidnapped and Oh What A Lovely War.
