Pasha Kovalev and Katya Virshilas bring Stars of Strictly Come Dancing to Mansfield Palace Theatre for an evening of pure glitz and glamour.
Along with a stunning team of dancers, Pasha and Katya will be performing a brand new ballroom and Latin show that promises to be a carnival of music, dance, costumes and sparkles!
It will feature the fiery Cha Cha Cha, romantic Waltz, passionate Rumba and dramatic Paso Doble and their stunning choreography will be further enhanced by an array of lighting and special effects.
The show is also a truly interactive experience with audience participation: people can text questions in using a special number available on the night and some of these will be put to Pasha and Katya on stage during act one.
Lithuanian Katya has been dancing since she was old enough to walk and began training in Modern Dance, Ballet and Tap whilst living in Israel as a young child.
After moving to Canada aged 13, she had her big break in 2006 as she danced the iconic tango scene in the hit film ‘Take The Lead’ with Antonio Banderas, which became the signature image of the whole film.
This tango is ranked one of the best ever to appear in a movie. Katya dances again in the competition at the end of the film and appears during the film as well.
Dance partner Pasha meanwhile is from Siberia and started dancing at the age of eight.
In 2001 he moved to the United States with his professional dance partner Anya Garnis and settled in Fort Lee, New Jersey, later moving to Los Angeles. He joined the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2011.
Pasha and Katya will be at the Palace on Friday 13th June. Tickets are priced £25.63 or £23.58 for concessions. They are available on Mansfield 633133 or at www.mansfield.gov.uk/palacetheatre.
Chad has teamed up with the Palace to giveaway a pair of tickets to see Pasha and Katya.
