AWARDS SPOTLIGHTFOR DANCE STARS

THE STARS of Hucknall’s Sarah Adamson School of Dance revelled in a presentation night where more than 90 awards were dished out.

The celebration of achievement at the George Street Club in the town attracted a bumper audience of family and friends.

One of the most prized awards up for grabs was a special award donated to the school by former Dispatch chief reporter Denis Robinson.

This went to Lauren Amber Saxon, who has been a pupil at Sarah Adamson since she was three. Lauren is to receive training at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts College in Epsom, Surrey, from September.

Sarah Teer, who runs the school, said: “It was a very enjoyable occasion and a fitting way to wind down before the summer holidays.”

Grooming Award, Gracie Johnson and Mary Wade. Musicality Award, Lucy Burrows. Junior Exam Award, Kirsty Hary. Senioor Exam Award, Isobel Teer. Newcomer Award, Zoe Hay and James Hickinbotham.
