Benedict’s work on display at QUAD

A Benedict Drew exhibition is to take place at Derby arts centre QUAD.

QUAD’s Radical Enlightenment season features the Benedict Drew exhibition as part of Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire’s The Grand Tour Fringe Programme.

Taking inspiration from The Grand Tour project across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire this summer, an exhibition of new work by Benedict Drew called Kaput will lead a season of exhibitions and events at QUAD.

Titled Radical Enlightenment, the season takes a fresh look at the Enlightenment period and the original Grand Tour, reassessing one of the most pivotal periods in human history in a thoroughly modern context.

The Grand Tour project reinterprets the world class collections of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire through contemporary art and the Benedict Drew exhibition is part of The Grand Tour fringe programme.

Kaput is an exhibition of new work by Benedict Drew which questions different modes of learning and the power and privilege of the acquisition of knowledge. Benedict works across video, sculpture, music and their associated technologies.

Benedict Drew’s Kaput is on display in QUAD from June 27 to September 6.
