Brass masters to play new commission
Brass band triple champions Black Dyke Band will perform a concert at Shirebrook Leisure Centre on Saturday, November 7.
Organised by Bolsover District Council and Shirebrook Town Council, this concert, which starts at 7pm, will see them perform music including a piece commissioned by the council in 2014 to commemorate the centenary of World War One, based on the poem To the Fallen.
In Memoriam - To The Fallen by Philip Sparke will be narrated by the BBC Radio 2 presenter Frank Renton.
