Bring your ideas to life at Quad

There is a chance to bring your ideas to life in a 3D Modelling: Digital Space Journeys workshop, to be held at Derby arts centre QUAD this weekend.

3D modelling is used in computer games and films to create realistic and cartoon vehicles, environments and characters.

Learn the basics of 3D modelling to create a space transport to journey through the cosmos.

The 3D models will be printed and then displayed in QUAD as part of the Grand Space Tour Participation Exhibition.

Suitable for all ages, Digital Space Journeys: 3D Modelling takes place on Saturday, August 15, from 1pm until 3.30pm.

The cost is £5, and booking is recommended.

n The Gothic Warehouse at Cromford Mills is the setting for a Model Railway Exhibition.

The exhibition began yesterday (Tuesday, August 11 and will run there until Monday August 31.

It will be open daily until then (closed on Monday except the Bank Holiday), from 11am-4pm.

Entry is free.

This model railway exhibition by the Wingfield Railway Group features Mettesford and the fictitious Wingfield Junction layouts.
