But they say it is essential to have a small but strong male chorus.

Chairman Andy Hoskison said: “Any man interested may have only sung in school or in church, but we welcome any men who can sing in tune.

“We do not have auditions and we are very friendly. We perform songs from the shows plus classics and folk music. We rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings at Swanwick Sports College. If any man fancies having a go at singing then please contact me.”

Andy can be reached on 01623 479921.

Andy added: “We welcome first time singers as we have CDs to help everyone learn their individual parts. Why not come along to one of our rehearsals and also attend our next concert to see if you would like to join? We always welcome lady singers too!”
