Ferocious Dog join crowd fund craze

Chad music fans who buy the new album by a well-known Warsop band will not only be cutting out money-grabbing record labels but will get it at a discounted price too.

Folk-rockers Ferocious Dog are selling their new, as yet untitled album, direct to fans via their website at a discounted rate of £8.50.

Said violinist Dan Booth: “We are releasing it completely unsigned and totally independent of any so-called music authority.

“This means we fund ourselves and our recordings with no outsiders poking their noses in. So, as a result, we remain free to bring you the music that we write for you but without the budget of a signed band.

“We are offering you the chance to pre-order our next album, which we will release before Christmas, and ultimately be a part of helping to fund it by paying in advance.”

The band will also sign each and every pre-order as a thanks for helping to fund their next studio sessions.

The band recently made history by becoming one of only four Nottinghamshire acts to sell out Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms venue.

Dan told Chad at the time: “When we walked out on stage to a filled-out crowd and everyone went crazy we knew it was going to be an amazing night. It was special.”
