The track has already been featured on BBC Radio and BBC Introducing. The music video can be viewed at http://youtu.be/q92hpSTmWTo

Whitemoor explained: “The North Wind is a very different song for us, it’s a stripped back track that features a lot of live elements including strings, piano and acoustic guitar, as we normally record our material in a very different way the live video shoot was quite challenging but at the same time a lot of fun.

“We borrowed a cello player (Hannah Barrs) from a band we know called the Idolins and she was fantastic.

“We decided to release this track because we have spent the majority of 2014 writing and recording our third studio album. This has meant we haven’t really been out playing shows so thought it would be nice to give something back to the people who follow us. The track was written by Barrington and his old writing partner Peter A Backler for inclusion on our new album but we felt it was a perfect release for Christmas instead.”
