French organist stars at Albert Hall

Sophie-Veronique Cauchefer-Choplin makes a return to Nottingham’s Albert Hall this weekend to perform an anniversary recital there on Sunday, October 4.

Performing again on the historic Binns organ at the venue, Sophie-Veronique can usually be found playing on the Cavaille-Coll organ at the Parisian church of St-Sulpice.

Her programme at the Albert Hall will include Cesar Franck’s Fantaisie en la majeur plus works by Ropartz, Widor and Boellman.

There is an admission fee of £10 for this anniversary recital and the performance gets under way 2.45pm.
