Italian job for NSO at Albert Hall

Nottingham Symphony Orchestra launch their 2015-2016 season with an Italian Classical Bites concert on Friday, October 16, at the city’s Albert Hall.

The concert starts at 6pm, last for around 50 minutes and will offer performances of four contrasting pieces.

The orchestra, conducted by Derek Williams, will play Rossini’s Thieving Magpie Overture, Ponchielli’s Dance Of The Hours, Luigi Bassi’s Fantasy On Themes From Rigoletto, with clarinet soloist Matt Glendening, and Respighi’s Pines Of Rome.

Tickets are either £7.50 for the concert only, or £20 for the concert and a two-course Italian-themed supper plus a free glass of Prosecco. Call 0115 9419419 for tickets.
