This concert will mark the last performance of Bingham’s Neville Ward who is retiring after 43 years as their Musical Director.

The programme features impressive and moving pieces, and well-loved choral masterpieces. Covering composers Parry, Bainton, Elgar, Finzi and Stanford, the concert will feature pieces such as Elgar’s Prologue from ‘The Apostles’, ‘Blest pair of sirens’ by Parry and Finzi’s ‘Lo, the full final sacrifice’ before being joined by the audience in Parry’s famous Jerusalem.

Colin Walsh, who will accompany the choirs for all the anthems and also play an item in each half of the concert, is the Organist Laureate at Lincoln Cathedral. Colin is a leading British organist who has played at all the major venues in the UK, most European countries, the USA, Australasia and Russia. He will play Reverie from Four Pieces by W H Harris and Adagio in E by Frank Bridge.
