More Splendour acts announced

Rising Nottingham star Saint Raymond and ska legends The Beat are the latest names to join the line-up for Nottingham’s Splendour festival.

The event is taking place at Wollaton Park on Saturday 19th July and is being headlined by Brit award-winner Tom Odell and party legends The Happy Mondays on the main stage.

Joining them will be Nottingham-born singer songwriter Saint Raymond, aka Callum Burrows, who has recently sold out gigs in London and at the Rescue Rooms, and who is supporting Ed Sheeran later this year.

One of the biggest bands of the 2-tone movement, ska revivalists The Beat, will bring their songs of peace, love and unity to the all-day party.

The indie rock guitars of Amber Run will power up the Confetti stage as they join headliners The Boomtown Rats, plus Reverend and the Makers and The Rifles.

“It’s really important to us that we put on acts that can be enjoyed by the broadest range of people which is one of the reasons why we’ve chosen to include up and coming musicians as well as those who have already experienced success,” said promoter George Akins.

“Saint Raymond looks set to become a massive star while The Beat will provide fun-loving songs in an upbeat and exciting way.”
