Newstead Brass Band perform in Brassed Off at Sheffield Lyceum

Award winning Newstead Brass are set to return to the stage for ‘Brassed Off’ in the revived professional tour concluding at the Sheffield Lyceum from 7th-10th May.

The band joins professional actors from the Touring Consortium Theatre Company for the final week of a 10 week national tour.

A band spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to be involved in this new production as it concludes its run in Sheffield after outstanding reviews for the company.”

It is a story close to the heart of Newstead Brass having experienced the closure and demolition of the Hucknall Colliery where they were previously based.
