NPO and Ken tohit the heights

The Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra will be taking wing on Saturday, 31 January with its popular family concert.

This year’s event at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham will have the theme of flight and will be hosted by the one and only Ken Bruce, the hugely popular BBC Radio Two presenter.

The concert is titled Come Fly With Us and is to be conducted by Mark Heron.

The orchestra will be performing film themes including Superman, ET and Harry Potter, as well as favourites from the classical repertoire including Wagner’s Ride Of The Valkyries, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight Of The Bumblebee and Sir William Walton’s Spitfire Prelude And Fugue, to name a few.

There will be all manner of well-known tunes for all ages, so come fly with NPO for a sky high experience that will leave you walking on air. Departure is at 7pm sharp.
