Regimental historian to visit Sutton Library

Cliff Housley from Sherwood Foresters Museum will visit Sutton library to give a talk about the Foresters Regiment and sign copies of his books.

He will be at the library on 28th June at 10am.

Mr Housley, the Regimental Historian served in the Sherwood Foresters for 14 years before leaving in 1969 and joining Nottinghamshire Constabulary.

From 1998 until 2004 Cliff was employed with the Sherwood Foresters Museum as Assistant Curator and Archivist.

On retirement he was invited to become a Museum Trustee. He continues voluntarily to serve the Museum in his role as Regimental Historian by giving talks to local Community Groups and working closely with the Archivist.

He has written and published several books on the History of the regiment.
