The street dancers - performing under the name AYD (Achieve Your Dreams) - won the coveted title with a breath-taking routine which wowed a packed Palace Theatre.

In one of the strongest finals for many years, self-taught Kailum (15) and 14-year-old Elliott were also named winners of the duet category.

Said organiser, Rotn Paul Bacon: “This year’s Rotary Junior Showtime was an outstanding success with some of the best talent we have ever seen performing.

“Any one of the finalists could have won their section, and I know the judges had the most difficult time ever in making their selections.

“Congratulations to our 2014 winners, Kailum and Elliott Richardson who have been in the competition for several years under the title AYD.

“This stands for Achieve Your Dreams - and this year they have certainly done that!”
