Fashion features in museum exhibition
1950s Fashion: A Decade of Glamour Exhibition continues its stay at Mansfield Museum this week.
The touring exhibition, produced by Epping Forest District Museum, is at Mansfield Museum until April 23.
From the dazzling dresses of the Paris couture houses, to the ready-to-wear styles of Marks and Spencer, 1950s Fashion: A Decade of Glamour explores the everyday and the extraordinary fashions of the 1950s.
Roughly divided into two themes, this exhibition examines how the fashions of the stars were created and then adapted to be worn by the everyday family.
