Panto ticket offer on now

It may be the height of summer but preparations for this year’s Mansfield Palace Theatre panto are already well underway - with more than 50 per cent of tickets sold.

The classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty is being recreated for the annual Palace Panto, which runs from Saturday 29th November until Sunday 4th January 2015, taking in 62 shows along the way.

With over half of tickets sold, residents are already snapping up the chance to indulge in some festive fun.

However those who don’t want to miss out can take advantage of the ‘Pay Now Save Now’ offer running until the end of August, for tickets booked and paid for now.

Starring in this year’s yuletide treat is Coronation Street star Vicky Entwistle (aka Janice Battersby), who is playing the Bad Fairy, Carabosse.

She said: “It’s about the kids, I love to hear them booing or hissing. This might be their first experience of a stage performance.”

Playing Princess Briar Rose (Sleeping Beauty) will be children’s TV presenter Amy Thompson from Channel 5’s Milkshake!

Silly Billy will be played by funny-man Adam Moss, whose favourite time of year is panto time, when he gets to do what he does best - act like a fool!

“All I can say is let the mayhem begin,” he added.

Sarah-Jane Buckley has recently been revealed as playing the Good Fairy. She is best known for playing Kathy Barnes in Hollyoaks.

Popular dame Charles Burden will be returning to Mansfield once more – this time in the guise of Nanny Glucose. With new costumes and wigs, Charles is excited to be showing off his stunning wardrobe.

To book, call the Box Office on 01623 633133 or visit www.mansfield.gov.uk/palacetheatre. For a chance to win family tickets throughout the summer holidays, like the Palace’s Facebook page and follow it on Twitter.
