See homegrown and European arts talent at neat14

The Nottingham European Arts & Theatre Festival (neat14) kicks off this weekend and will see the major arts venues in the city offering a programme of vigorous, intriguing and uplifting performances.

neat celebrates the best of European theatre, music, performance, film and visual art for adults and children and runs from Friday (23rd May) until 1st June.

More than 40 events will be taking place with the main participating venues being the Broadway cinema, Nottingham Contemporary, Dance 4, Lakeside Arts Centre, New Art Exchange, Nottingham Playhouse and Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall.

Highlights include the premiere of Mass Bolero - a film which commemorates the 30th anniversary of Torvill and Dean’s Winter Olympic gold medal, the touring Nottingham Playhouse production, The Second Minute - based on letters sent and received by soldiers fighting in the First World War and the Wheee! family weekend at Lakeside Arts Centre.
