Stars turn out for the launch of Mansfield Palace Theatre’s pantomime Cinderella

The stars were out in force for the launch of Mansfield Palace Theatre’s pantomime Cinderella today.

The pantomime, which opens on 30th November and runs until 5th January, promises to be a traditional telling of the popular story with a few modern twists - not to mention the ever-popular Mansfield references.

Speaking at the launch, Ruth Madoc, who will be best-known for her role as Gladys in Hi-De-Hi, last came to Mansfield to perform in a panto 20 years ago and she says she is looking forward to making a return.

“It is lovely to see how much it has changed,” she said.

“What I do remember it is the wonderful warmth of the audience in Mansfield and the marvellous market square that you have.”
