Tristram’s play heads a comedy triple bill

A triple bill of plays is being staged at Strutts Centre in Belper on February 5-7.

The evening features as its headlining play David Tristram’s Last Tango In Little Grimley.

Some 18 years after being first performed in Belper, it returns with the original cast as the headline to a triple bill of comedy produced by Belper Players.

Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society is in trouble. The membership has dwindled to just four and audiences aren’t much bigger. To cap it all the landlord is demanding three years back rent. The group looks doomed.....until the chairman discloses his cunning plan to sell some more tickets.

Paul Davies, Marion Middleton and Maggie Burns head the cast. The comic play is directed by Sara Mothershaw.

Also on the comedy triple bill is I Was Murdered Last Week. Set in the community hall, Isobelle Grace Keith, Megan Harman and Vanessa McAuley play actresses waiting for auditions.

The evening opens with a tribute to Les Dawson entitled Fanny and Florrie.

Performances start at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7. First night concessions are £6.
