Top singer Eddi is back in the area

Singer Eddi Reader brings her latest tour to The Winding Wheel in Chesterfield on Wednesday, March 25.

Eddi Reader is taking to the road in March, joined by her incredible band which includes Irish accordionist Alan Kelly, John Douglas (guitar and vocals), Kevin McGuire (bass) and English songwriter / guitarist Boo Hewerdine.

2014 was another successful year for Eddi Reader with many high profile concerts and appearances for national radio and television including Jools Holland, Cambridge Folk Festival 50th Anniversary, Question Time, Terry Wogan and Andrew Marr shows. Her music was also used in the closing credits for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

Buxton Opera House is re-living the sights and sounds of the 60s when the world’s premier Beatles tribute band, The Bootleg Beatles return to Buxton Opera House on Friday, March 20, following appearances at Glastonbury Festival, several world-tours and many sell-out shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Audiences can expect a two-hour, multi-media show which spans from the group’s early days from 1964 (featuring songs such as A Hard Day’s Night and Twist), to their psychedelic era (with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and A day in the Life), to their work in the 70s (Here Comes the Sun and Come Together).
