Alongside stalls filled with award winning produce will be Kidz Kitchen workshops, featuring bubbling egg volcanoes, healthy lunchbox snacks, and chocolate truffle making.

In addition, the History Van – a travelling museum in a van – will get kids creating masterpieces from the 17th Century.

To coincide with Bolsover Castle’s “Muskets and Masques: Charles I at Bolsover” event on the same weekend, Jenny Bland, creator of the History Van, has developed a menu of authentic food making activities: Children will milk a sheep, turn the milk into butter and use grindstones to grind corn into flour.

A variety of tantalising entertainment will also be available at the event, including:

Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli, who will present live cooking demos on Saturday 26 July

World renowned beer guru and editor of the Good Beer Guide Roger Protz , who will host a series of master classes, providing tasting notes on some of the region’s best ales

A new Bolsover beer, currently being created by local brewery Raw, which will be revealed at the event

Stalls featuring a range of award winning food and drink produce for visitors to taste and buy

Music, tours and entertainment.

Entry to Bolsover Food and Drink Festival will be held on 26 and 27 July in Bolsover town centre and is free to attend.
