Jason Joiner, director of promoters Showmasters, today revealed the unique Doctor Who photo opportunity,.
“Doctor who fans are in for a special treat. We’ve got the Paul McGann Tardis here - you can actually have a photograph on the Tardis with him. It’s a pretty cool thing.
“Sylvester McCoy, another Dr Who, will also be here along with other stars from the show.
“We’ve got many other guests from Lord of The Rings, Torchwood, Star Wars, Star Trek. A load of stuff.
“You will get to hear many of them on stage. We are doing free talks once you are in, throughout the day. A lot of guests will be doing talks to the audience. But we will also be doing other photo opportunities, so you can get a professional photo take with a guest, or you can buy autographs off them and get your favourite piece of merchandise signed. There will also be free photographs here that you can get signed.
“There’s a whole room of merchandise and collectables - really cool stuff from all over the world, from America, Japan and stuff you’ve never seen before.
“Fans don’t have to get dressed up, but a lot do and the costumes they walk around in are amazing. You’ll see Stormtroopers, Daleks and we might even have the Alien walking around - but it wil be on a leash, in case it gets a bit wild.
“It’s the first time we’ve been up here and we’re going to bring tons of celebrities and a lot of TV, film collectables, merchandise, film cars - everything. It’s really good fun and basically a place to celebrate your hobby.”
