The Farne Islands off the coast of Northumbria are truly the kingdom of the birds!

The 23 species on these rocky islands include over 37,000 pairs of everyone’s favourite seabird – the puffin.

Chad sports editor John Lomas took a trip out there to grin at the cute puffins and risk the wrath of the feisty Arctic terns!
