Bulwell businesses can apply now for city council restart grants
Businesses in Bulwell can now apply for a restart grant from Nottingham City Council.
The scheme, which started this month, will require businesses with a business rate account to apply through a new application process.
Restart grants support businesses in the non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure, personal care and accommodation sectors with a one-off grant, to reopen safely as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
Eligible businesses in the non-essential retail sector may be entitled to a one-off cash grant of up to £6,000 depending on their rateable value.
Eligible businesses in the hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym sectors may be entitled to a one-off cash grant of up to £18,000, again, depending on their rateable value.
The grant you receive depends on your rateable value as on April 1 this year.
For non-essential retail businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under, grants of £2,667 are available, for businesses rated between £15,000 and £50,999, the grant is £4,000 and for businesses rated at more than £51,000, the grant is £6,000.
For eligible businesses in the hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym sectors rated at £15,000 or under, you can get a grant of £8,000, for those rated between £15,000 and £50,999, the grant is £12,000 and for those rated at £51,000 or more, the grant is £18,000.
