A good example is how the project recently worked with Bombardier, a global manufacturer of planes and trains.

Back in 2012, Bombardier benefited from the project’s free and confidential commercial property search service, finding their ideal site on Castlewood Business Park.

The company completed their move in January, retaining their 61-strong workforce, at the eye-catching premises. Their impressive, new facility has improved the company’s productivity and, as part of Invest Ashfield & Mansfield’s commitment to supporting local businesses, Bombardier will continue to benefit from ongoing account management support, which includes further business development and maximising business networks.

Invest Ashfield & Mansfield is shortly to recommence a business eventsprogramme, helping raise the area’s profile and improve business productivity.

Last week the project helped promote support offered to new-start businesses at Mansfield 2020 and NatWest’s Entrepreneurs’ Weekend.

April also sees the launch of the Ashfield and Mansfield Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE), offering grants of up to £1,500 to businesses taking on a new apprentice. The successful Aim Higher summer placement scheme is also now open to companies with suitable eight-week placement projects.

Invest Ashfield & Mansfield (funded by Ashfield and Mansfield District Councils and the European Regional Development Fund) provides several free and confidential services including business events, property searches, business surveys, relocation advice and information.
