Plans for a new cake and desserts shop in Hucknall have been submitted to Ashfield District Council.

The application, by Mr Ahmed Nuri, would see the former off licence at 130 Watnall Road, open up as a retail premises again selling cakes and desserts.
The building has been converted to create four flats but on his planning application, Mr Nuri notes that the original shop front and internal shop layout remain unchanged and that he just wishes to use of the front part of the original shop to sell cakes and desserts.
If approved, the new shop would open between 12noon and 11.30pm each day.
The council’s planning committee is likely to make a decision on the application at the end of this month.
