Wearable items such as clutch plates and braking components are only covered for one year or 12,000 miles, but that seems like fair play given the relatively hard life they are likely to have, especially if owners tow caravans regularly.

This is more good news for the Korando, which although being blighted by its connection to SsangYong’s ugly models of the recent past, is actually rather good looking even among its company in the crossover market.

The company will be hoping it helps to turn heads towards a brand of car people haven’t considered before.
