Fans of McDonald’s will be pleased to hear that the fast food chain’s menu is being expanded, with five new items soon set to be made available.

The new items being added to the menu include a spicy quarter pounder and a McChicken BLT. Here’s the full list of new tasty treats you’ll soon be able to tuck into.

5 new items added to the McDonald’s menu

The new menu will feature a spicy quarter pounder, which is made up of a beef patty, two slices of pepper jack cheese, onions, jalapenos, mustard and a spicy ketchup, all sandwiched in a sesame seed bun. The new burger addition will cost £4.79.

McDonald’s expanded menu will also see a McChicken BLT added, which will feature a crispy chicken patty, lettuce, mayo and bacon, costing £5.19.

The chain is also releasing a deluxe version of its quarter pounder, which the company describes as a "fancy" version of the staple burger. The quarter pounder deluxe will cost £4.89 and contains a beef patty, shredded lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, onions, mayo, ketchup, mustard, and streaky bacon.

Nacho cheese wedges, which are bites of melted spicy jalapeno cheese, covered in fried tortilla chips, are also making a return to the menu and will be available in two different sizes. The wedges will cost £1.79 for a regular portion with five bites, or £4.79 for a 20 piece sharebox.

If you fancy something sweet, then McDonald’s is also adding a salted caramel latte to its menu. The latte will cost £1.69 and is perfect for the autumn season.

When will the new items be available?

The new menu items will be released on Wednesday 7 October 2020, and will be available for six weeks, until Tuesday 17 November.

Customers will be able to order the new items in restaurants and at drive throughs, or for home delivery via Uber Eats and Just Eat.
