Tier restrictions and subsequent lockdowns have meant that many pubs in both towns have been closed since last year and residents are eagerly awaiting confirmation on when they can have their first ‘proper pint’.
The dates on the roadmap are currently provisional and Prime Minister Boris Johnson says the Government will continue to be ‘driven by the data’ – however it currently looks likely that the initial phase of allowing outdoor drinking and dining on April 12 will go ahead.
