Ian Dyke (55) has been headhunted to run Rippon Homes, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2013, following the retirement of former Managing Director, John Jones.

Having worked in the house building trade since the early eighties, with national developers, small family businesses and a private housing association, Ian has extensive industry knowledge and experience to help drive Rippon Homes forward.

Mr Dyke said:“The house building industry had a number of tough years following the 2008 recession, but Rippon Homes has emerged into the better markets of today with a good product, dedicated staff and a parent company prepared to support the business as it continues to re-grow.

“My intention is to grow the company to be a more significant regional housebuilder, which will involve hard work and dedication from all of us, and further build on the excellent reputation Rippon Homes has established over the last 60 years.

“I was keen to join Rippon because it has a skilled team building high quality, traditional homes, with particular attention paid to the layout, which ensures they meet the needs of modern home buyers, while interesting and pleasant street scenes are also key to the design of Rippon developments.

“Location is as important as the house design itself and our developments are designed to create family-friendly and inclusive communities, with parking and access to local amenities always carefully considered.”

Ian is already working on expanding Rippon’s portfolio, having recently launched exciting new developments in Wingerworth, near Chesterfield, and Pontefract with developments coming soon in Eastwood, Hykeham and Stanton under Bardon.

Ian continues: “As an engineer by profession, I find my comprehensive technical knowledge is useful when looking to purchase new land.

“We are already viewing a number of potential new development sites across the Midlands, which will allow us to expand Rippon Homes across the region.

“Having also worked for a private housing association, brokering deals for affordable housing sites with developers and local councils, I’ve gained a valuable insight into how affordable housing works and our commitments as a house builder to the local council and the local community.”

Outside of his busy working life, Ian’s sporting interests help him to let off steam.

Ian adds: “With such a challenging day job I need to find time to relax and I do this whilst riding my motorbike and watching Rugby whenever I get the opportunity.”
