One hundred per cent of the residential lots on offer were sold under the hammer during the event on 18th February.

Of the notable results achieved, were:

l A 0.78-acre site at Lawn Ave, Sutton, with potential for residential development was knocked down at £185,000 after intense competition - proving that confidence from speculators willing to gamble on obtaining a planning consent is returning.

l There was huge demand for a house let on a regulated tenancy on King Edward Avenue, Mansfield. This drew £119,000 – around double the reserve.

l A one-acre paddock on Rickett Lane, Blidworth, achieved a ‘staggering’ £24,000. The vendors were going to sell it by private treaty for £15,500

Barnes says it believes ‘savvy’ vendors will compare its results to others in the industry and realise that its auctions continually deliver the best chance of success.

Meanwhile, final entries are now being considered for the next auction in April.
