A Hucknall business is building on its record turnover year by launching a new venture.
Fit-out firm B&M Installations of Annesley Road, which reached a milestone £2m turnover last year, has launched B&M Construction to focus on domestic refurbishments.
Managing director Graham Belfield said: “More people are choosing to stay put and renovate their own homes rather than moving. House prices are going up and mortgages are still difficult to get.
“We are seeing an increase in demand from customers who want to put in loft extensions at home or sound proof walls, particularly in newer build properties. These options are more cost effective and less disruptive than moving house.”
Graham initially set up B&M Installations with just two members of staff and offering just the basic office refurbishment contract.
Winning a major tender worth £780,000 at the University of Nottingham was a turning point for the firm, which is going from strength to strength, securing major contracts across the country.
Ambitious for growth, the company now offers a wide range of expertise across a breadth of sectors.
The firm boasts a roster of prestigious clients including Morgan Stanley, NSPCC, University of Nottingham and the English Heritage, with 60 per cent of work coming from client referral.
Their service caters for projects of all sizes from design through to completion.
