A38 crash causes traffic tailback

Traffic was brought to a standstill last night (Monday, 20th January) following a collision on the A38 King’s Mill Road East.

Two vehicles were in collision at crossroads close to the Lawn Pleasure Ground at around 6.15pm, police said.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene and the roof had to be cut from one of the vehicles.

A police spokesman said two people were taken to hospital as a precaution and the road was cleared at around 7.20pm.
