ALFRETON: Men demand cash from town store

Derbyshire police are appealing for information following an incident at a shop in Alfreton where two men demanded money.

The incident happened at around 1.20pm on Tuesday, 28th January, when two men went into Cooplands, on High Street, and asked the shop assistant for cash from the till.

She initially declined, but the men continued to ask until the assistant felt compelled to hand over a quantity of money, a police spokesman said.

One man is described as white, around 6ft tall and in his 20s. He was wearing a cap and a dark short jacket. The other is white, in his 20s and around 5ft 9in tall, with a stocky build and spotty complexion.
