Appeal for festive food bank donations
Residents of Mansfield and Ashfield are being urged to donate a gift to their local food bank this Christmas.
The Nottinghamshire Advice Network (NAN) says the area’s eight charitable food banks have seen a massive increase in demand for food parcels as grocery and energy prices soar.
NAN partnership manager Kris Ambler said: “Anything you can give would be a massive help to people fallen on hard times, non-perishable items like pasta, rice, canned foods and staples like instant coffee, sugar and teabags are especially welcomed.”.
