Ashfield District Council has updated its bin collection timetable following recent cold weather disruptions

A spokesman said: ”Due to adverse weather conditions due to snow and ice on pavements, waste collections were suspended between Saturday 27th and Tuesday 30th December.

“From Wednesday 31st December services were resumed prioritising residual waste collection from Saturday 20th December.

“Please leave bins accessible and we will get to them as soon as possible.

“We expect to have dealt with outstanding residual bins by Friday.

If your recyling bin has not been collected by Saturday, please take it in and it will be emptied on your next collection.”
