Ashfield outdoor markets cancelled as strong winds are set to batter the county

Ashfield outdoor markets have been cancelled as 40pmh winds are set to hit the county this weekend.

The markets will not be open on Friday, October 12, and Saturday, October 13.

A Ashfield District Council spokesman said: "Due to the very high winds forecast over the weekend its with regret that the Council have had to cancel the outdoor markets at Hucknall, Kirkby and Sutton on both Friday and Saturday."
